Welcome to the Textile archive!
Here the rich textile heritage of the County of
Västernorrland is gathered. Costumes, quilts, cloths, pieces of
embroidery, patterns and sketches.
Here you'll find a treasure of patterns for handicrafters, artists
and designers to be inspired by.
The collections of the textiles archive include about 8000
textile objects. Among these, the largest part is less than 1x1
meter in size - samples of fabric, cloths, napkins, pieces of
tulle, women's caps for special occasions, parts of costumes and

quilts, long-pile rugs, table covers, damask cloths, premium linen.
Articles of clothing, and women's clothing in particular, make up
the remaining ten percent.
In the collection, there are also some pieces of handicraft and
